Playing MPEG;s

I'm on Slackware 9 and the players that came with it do not play my mpegs. ( kaboodle, some other one) Do you know where I can get a decent player that will play my Mpeg's. And could you tell me how to install it? Thanks.

xine or mplayer....i prefer xine cause of the fact i can't get mplayer to work properly

and i will tell you that whatever one you do pick there will be a fair amount dependancies....

oh and shall i add RTFM...
try installing it first yourself....thats how you learn....then come back with your problems...your not going to learn if you have people holding your hand all the time..
