Question pidgin is sux on ubuntu interpid!! Do any body have the same problem & fixed it?

I installed ubuntu interpid and it was normal like any previous releases, but pidgin was so sux it always crashes by one of this ways after using it for a while:
1- Exiting by it self and I have to open it again.
2- The smiles wont work and the when someone send me a file it wont save it and also when I sent files to others the same, so I have to restart the program to work again.

I have tried to completely remove it and reinstall it and nothing changed, I have searched to add the pidgin developers repository from the launchpad.com but its only available for ubuntu hardy.

After that I installed amsn from the official ubuntu repos for the webcam and voice chat and also it crashed after 20 or 30 minutes so I also completely removed it, then downloaded the debain packages for amsn from debain.org and I think It works cool, but I didnt have done this with pidgin because pidgin have a lot of packages not like amsn (amsn package and the data package).

Do any one have the same problem and have fixed it?
does this make sense?: I open the computer for 24\7

I would start pidgin from the terminal and see what messages you get when it crashes. You could also start with with debug messages
Code:
pidgin -d
and that may provide more info.

FWIW, my intrepid install works fine.

As a final option, try only signing into one or a couple of your accounts at a time if you have more than one. It may be a protocol issue.
