phpMyAdmin error: cannot browse tables, other functions work fine
Hi everyone,
I recently installed phpMyAdmin 2.6.0.pl1 I changed the settings in config.inc.php to point to my MySQL server and I can login to phpMyAdmin as expected. While most of the features work correctly, when I click on the 'browse' tab for a table, the screen goes blank. Now it appears from the URL (and this is just wide speculation on my part) that it is processing a SELECT query but times-out. I am able to alter the structure of the databases and tables fine, and insert data into the tables, I just can't browse the tables. When I access mysql from the command prompt, SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DROP, etc. commands all work as expected.
I upgraded from phpMyAdmin 2.6.0.pl1 to 2.6.0.pl3 and nothing seemed to change.
Yeah, and that's what's bizzare. All the SELECT, INSERT, DROP, etc. commands work fine from the command line, so I know that MySQL is writing to the db. Also, I can use the insert commands from phpmyadmin, i.e. I can insert data into the table through pma and select it through the command line.
