page won't load (apache2+php on TSL 2.1)

got this problem with apache on my TSL 2.1 box

i installed php on it (TSL has a strange PHP configuration, it isn't configured in httpd.conf itself but in an external directory "conf.d") anyways i installed phpmysysinfo on it and that works fine (http://sake/phpsysinfo).. but i also want to play around with a forum software but when i want to initialize the install script it doesn't show my page.. it only shows me a white screen (http://sake/forum/install/install.php).. i placed a txt file in that directory with the name test.txt when i go to http://sake/forum/install/test.txt it shows me what i've written in the test file.. but the php won't execute.. on TSL safe_mode is ON by default, but i turned it off allready (to make phpmysysinfo work) so is there anyone who can help?? did i miss a configuration? is it a permission issue? plz help me..

btw when i place phpinfo() in http://sake/forum it does work.. when i place it in http://sake/forum/install it doesn't work anymore..
