i need a program that would notify me as soon as a web page changes. i would enter the url and the frequency of checking for differences and i need an alert as soon as the page has been updated.
i searched and searched but all i found was a commercial program for windblows. how could i do it in linux (suse 9.1)?
Write a script that possibly checks the size of the file/page, when it changes, it emails you. Setup cron to make the script run every 5 minutes or so..
