hi,

To export audio to another system we need to start the esd sound server on the machine we need the audio on like this:

esd -tcp -public -port xxx

then in the client system, we need to specify the server by exporting the ESPEAKER variable.

export ESPEAKER=host_running_esd:xxx

If the audio players do not support the above variable, we can use the below command to make the esd daemon simulate /dev/dsp.

esddsp -v --server=the.remote.host:xxx esd -tcp

Make sure that there is no esd server running on the client machine.
