I have setup oidentd on my mandrake linux box here to comply with quakenet rules - I have a trust for 20 connections thereforce must have ident installed and only 1 client per ident.
This is my setup:
ROUTER (port 113 -> server IP, ADSL connection, NAT)
|-- Server (MDK10, eggdrop, psyBNC, oidentd)
|-- My PC (Windows, mIRC nn3.81)
|-- My Laptop (Windows, mIRC nn3.81)
|-- Family PC (Windows, mIRC nn3.81)
Now the main thing I need to get working is psyBNC with oidentd. I have been through this tutorial:
psybnc.info/faq.html#q16 (stupid URL ban on < 5 posts)
However whenever a bnc account tries connecting I get:
Code:
[root@server chris]# /usr/local/sbin/oidentd -i -m -u nobody -g nogroup
Connection from irc.inet.tele.dk (193.163.220.3):0
[irc.inet.tele.dk] 12082 , 6667 : ERROR : NO-USER
So no reply. I can't set a fallback reply beacuse I'll get banned from the network (again). I have also tried -P my.external.ip.address and messed with a few other flags with no luck. I need machines inside the network as well as outside to connect through psyBNC to IRC networks. I did make sure to compile psyBNC with oidentd support.
Any help would be much appreciated!
