oidentd and nat

im currently trying to setup oidentd as a standalone server so i can connect to secure ftp sites using ident. the server is up and running and ident requests are working locally. as soon as try to logon to a ftp outside the lan, ident doesnt work. my router is set to forward port 113 to the boxes ip. i dont unserstand what the problem is.

to make sure that my router is functioning properly, i setup a ident server on a windows box. ident then works on all boxes including the slackware box. any ideas
