No audio in RealPlayer 10

Hey there.
I have this annoying problem with RealPlayer 10 Gold on Mandrake 10.0 CE. I downloaded the RPM from the RealPlayer website, and it installed without a problem. However, whenever I try to play a music file (ex: something.ram), RealPlayer starts to play it, but there is no audio. Not sure what is going wrong. Any ideas?

1. Start up kmix (you might need to install this from the Mandrake CD/DVD)

2. Click on Advanced

3. If the PCM light isn't on, highlight it, and lo', you may have sound

I occassionally have that problem on Slackware 10 even though the volume levels are fine for other applications. I always have to unmute it when playing any .rm files.

Hello ppl:

I have the same problem; no audio output from RealPlayer. I use Debian. I have installed kmix and did turn on the PCM switch, but the problem persists. What to do from here?
