NFS - write error from client to host
Thanks for clicking!
Slackware 10.0
kernel-2.4.26
this may seem simple to some, sorry for the disclamer, but i am tyring to setup an NFS server in my home network. I've managed to get the exported hard drive mounted to my machine, but the problem is i cannot write back onto the exported drive. here is the entry in the exports file;
/home/hdb1 vega(rw,sync,no_root_squash) collapse(ro)
what i ultimately would like to happen is for computer vega to beable to act as root when accessing the exported fs, and the computer collapse to have restricted access, maybe be a part of a group with a bit more priveledges. How do i allow writing for computer vega? and another clarification while i'm here, option anongid=value in /etc/exports is the correct way to add a client to the specified group on the server? and then from there the group has its system priveledges unique to that group, correct?
Thanks for taking the time!
