Do you get this error when starting or restarting Nagios?

Is the NSClient service registered and running on the Windows box?

What are you trying to monitor on the Windows box? For example, I am monitoring uptime on one of my hosts and the argument I pass it from my service definition in services.cfg is: check_nt_uptime!<IP OF WINDOWS HOST>!1248!UPTIME. My checkcommands.cfg file has this defined as:

define command{
command_name check_nt_uptime
command_line $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v UPTIME
}

I found that the readme.html file in the nsclient download helped in getting nsclient set up and working fine on my boxes, it has some useful info on config.

Hope this helps.
