Nagios Problem

I have install Nagios 1.2 and am having some problems. I want to change the icons in the status map. I have followed the directions and have added the line:

into the cgi.cfg file. I have created the file hostextinfo.cfg and added the following lines:

define hostextinfo{
host_name novel1
icon_image novell40.png
icon_image_alt IntranetWare 4.11

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance.

it ok

it ok
just make sure that you have appropriate all you icons in the default directory
all icons should have read permisions for all

the files needed to be modified on the nagios server
1> cgi.cfg
2> hostextinfo.cfg

edit your cgi.cfg

the hostextinfo.cfg file provides file names of images used in the status map screen.

edit hostextinfo.cfg
add this
define hostextinfo{
host_name ahmed
icon_image Compaq_xxxx_yyyyp.jpg
icon_image_alt Ahmed
vrml_image Compaq_xxxx_yyyyp.jpg
statusmap_image Compaq_xxxx_yyyyp.jpg

gd2_image Compaq_xxxx_yyyyp.jpg
register 1
i hope the host for which u need to add image in status map is already there
and nagios is working fine.
this config works fine for me i am using RedHat 9
your milage may vary
if any errors plzz mail me
