mplayer issues


hey guys, this is my first post here...i am new to gentoo for the most part and i am loving it so far...i do have a simple question though...i have installed mplayer and have it working, but it doesnt play my DVD the correct way...when i me@localhost#sudeo mplayer dvd://dev/cdrom or just dvd:// -- it starts my movie like at some random spot...i am tryin to watch a tv series DVD and it just starts it at a certain episode and i skip thru to the end and it just stops it wont move onto the next episode or give me the title menu....can someone please help me here

Maybe you need to set the proper USE-flags? And for DVD navigation you should use libdvdnav in its latest incarnation.
