I wonder if anybody has the same problem like me. I have fedora core 3 installed on my comp a few weeks ago. To save disk space, i uninstalled most of media player that come by default with fedora and installed Mplayer1.0-pre6a with GUI supported. I soon recognized that Mplayer sometimes crash when i tried to play some file in my playlist or DVD when I change subtitle. I think there must be something wrong with the player or my linux box since i dont have such that problem when i use fedora core 1. Moreover, people say that Mplayer is a good player, so it must be stable.
If anyone have encountered the same problem like me and know how to fix it or know exactly why and when it crash, please tell me. I nearly got mad at my machine since i upgrade it from fedora 1.

How about you give me some of the error information that mplayer puts out.

If you have to run an xterm and run mplayer from that on a file that normally causes errors . . . then give us the messages.

well, i notice that whenever i run mplayer to play dvd movie wriiten on DVD+RW, the player doesnt run smothly and at some time, it frezze. When i try to right click on it, it says that the player is interrupted and the crash maybe because of the bug in C compiler or in mplayer code. But I have tried to compile it 3 times and even install from a rpm package but it still crash!!!
