I have just recently installed Red Hat 9 on my computer and i have used the internet configuration wizard to configure my connection. However i can access my schools webpage, but not something like www.google.com or www.yahoo.com. Why not? Im on Gnome GUI.
Are you connecting thru your school? More details please, we can't assume what wrong. Try to provide as much details as possible. Dialup, Cable or DSL?

I would think computers in labs might be restricted to campus network only.. probably best to check with your school at this point. Unless a member is on the IT staff at your school.. we probably won't have an answer for you.
Crap read it wrong..
Edited version.. Check your /etc/resolv.conf file for the correct DNS server entries.. also might want to make sure your not behind a proxy server, etc.
If i just installed it, do i have to activate it? When i click on mozilla it brings up a file talking about activation. I dont have a code b/c i downloaded the iso files off of a mirror.
