::mounting filesystems and autostarting programs!!::

When I boot up my RedHat 8.0 computer I would like for it to do the following things before you even have to type in your username and password...

1)mount /dev/hdb1 /hdb
2)/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd start
3)./hlds_run -game cstrike +maxplayers 10 +map fy_iceworld
(#3 has to be ran in the /hdb/halflife/hlds_l directory!)...

Can you do this? If so can you explain how?

Thanks,
-Andy

Just add the lines to your rc.local file.

well sure, add 3 to rc.local...

1) create (or adjust) a line in /etc/fstab to say something like
Code:
/dev/hdb1    /hdb    ext3    defaults      1  1
2) run this command once only...
Code:
chkconfig --level 3 5 httpd on

(#3 has to be ran in the /hdb/halflife/hlds_l directory!)... to work.
And now when I press Ctrl+Alt+F2 it doesn't go into text mode!!! please help!!
