mount probs..

problem is that i once i mount the windows partition under FC3 it's ok.It will be there permenantly(ie-next time when i boot FC3).I also have Fc4 on my system and i mounted the partitions but saw that was only temporary(since i didn't see the mounted partition of windows under FC4 the next time i rebooted) and the /etc/fstab didn't have entries for windows mounted partitions.
The command used:
mount -t vfat /dev/hdX /mnt/C
where C is the directory and X represents the number of the partition...

I mounted Fc3's root directory also in Fc4.So i opened the /etc/fstab of both Fc4 and FC3(thro' the mounted partition in FC4) and copied the windows partitionand other extra info of /etc/fstab of FC3 to /etc/fstab of FC4(because Fc3 has all the mounted partitions permenant and also has the corresponding entries in its /etc/fstab.But after rebooting only fc3 partition was mounted the rest failed and i had to mount every windows partition from the beginning....
what to do.....what editing should i make in /etc/fstab?????
thanks in advance..
Gejoe

Did you make sure that the mount points existed? post the fstab of both FC3 & FC4.

I found the solution. It was because of the lower case letter given(like /mnt/c for directory C where i mounted C partition of windows) instead of (giving /mnt/C in /etc/fstab)
Thanks a lot......
