i can't ask this question at morphix.org cos for some reason i can't post on their forum!
Basically I am doing an HD install of morphix 0.4.1 light gui, after i install none of the passwords i chose work. found a post on the forum that said try:
Linux init=/bin/sh
at boot and use
passwd
but i got command not found (?)
it also suggest doing
/morphix/gtkinstaller/morphixinstaller -d
and posting the output at the forum but as i said i can't post so am posting here!
basically i can see the problem already. when the installer asks me to set root pasword i get:
chpasswd: command not found
the command the installer gives is:
chroot /mnt/target sh -c "echo \"root:password\" | chpasswd"
i dunno what happens after that cos i accidently quit the installer! but that seems to be quite a clear cause of the root password not getting set!
any ideas?

I have the same problem with LightGUI 0.4-1 when I do HD install. I like it so I guest I just use the CD Live and use window xp the rest of the time. The only thing I wish is I could save my data. I try a floppy disk it didn't work. Next I'm going try JumpDrive 256mb If I find one to buy.
