One is the ImageMagick package. You will be able to create one from a series of images or convert from a gif anim.

I've tried converting an animated gif to an MNG. But when I put it into the boot splash screen the one viewed on the screen is only the animated part, but the static one is not shown. Why is that?

BTW, in case you all wondering, I'm trying to make my own customized boot splash screen and loading animation. But I think the splash screen uses an MNG file for animation.

My fault. It was the source animated GIF's fault. When I tried creating a new MNG with multiple static images, it worked. Thanks alot. Consider it taken care of.
