Add Remove Applications Ubuntu
My system overloads often times due to leaving too may windows when going to add remove. I have made this mistake more than once and have a hard time fixing it.
I hope you will note that any time you choose synaptic manager or add remove close your other windows so you don't get a message of failure like this:
D package was interrupted you must run command in terminal to fix it
sudo dpkg --configure -a
First of all they don't tell you do put super user do (sudo) ahead of the command, second of all when you enter your password after the prompt it often fails, evidently due to the interrupted D or E drive process whichever one it was this time.
Second of all the password is not visible for sure you just have to count to 10 (or even more) and press enter until maybe it finally gets received at terminal. Then it will tell you to enter command and you have to repeat the sudo command until you get a message that says ;
Setting up libc6 (2.7-10ubuntu5) ...
Processing triggers for libc6 ...
ldconfig deferred processing now taking place
Then just leave if without closing for an hour, and it will probably be cleared up, so you can use synaptic manager or add remove all you want.
These are about the same and in my experience if one doesn't work neither one will work.
As for your question the second answer is very thorough. A good answer to know the ins and outs, some things to be familiar with so you can use your computer to the fullest.
