Metric Conversion Tool


I'm searching for a FREE mertic conversion tool I can download to install on RHEL 5.

Any suggestions?

I looked am not finding what I want (at least on the Linux side)

or are you looking for something for the command line?

There are hundreds of them online. If really have to have it locally on your system, a shell script would probably do.

Didn't see your reply. The one I posted above seems quite straightforward. It takes no options or arguments.

Cool. Gonvert is a unit conversion program, It works in Gnome on Centos 5.

If you were looking for a command line application, fedora comes with the "units" command which is highly useful in scripting.

Downloaded gonvert -- extracting now, taking forever....

I will take a look at the scripting on the side -- that's another great option and great book
