Question Media player remotely control?

Hi all, I'm new to these forums. I did a search on this, but I couldn't find anything, also because I had trouble formulating proper search terms. So please bear with me

I just finished installing a simple Debian server. It's a pentium 2 without a monitor/kde (I want to keep it that way). This server is located in the kitchen, and connected to an audio system. Now I want to be able to play music in the kitchen, and to control the playlists etc from my own computer. What would be an advisable construction to do this?

I'm not afraid of some coding/scripting. I was thinking or creating a webbased interface (the server has most standard services running, apache, mysql, samba etc), but for that I need a command line media player. Does that exist?

It would be great if this construction also allowed me to play music from my own computer.

thanks in advance!

zulfilee: thanks! but is mp3 blaster a command line player or just a player which doesn't use X-Window? I found this:

http://www.stack.nl/~brama/mp3blaster.html

but it doesn't mention anything about command line access.

can I, for example, give a command (preferably while it's playing) like "mp3blaster reload playlist" or something?

Its a console based player which doesnt need X.
It can be run from remote machines as well.

Yeah you can reload playlist while playing.
