Media center

I currently have a dedicated machine running Media Portal (Windows software) for my media center. What i would like to do is to set it up so that i can have 2 TV's (and both of them showing something different). I know with linux it can be set up with multiple desktops but have some questions....

1) Could i set it up so that the displays are on different desktops?
2) I would like to run Media Portal (i dont really want to switch Media center software, i really like this one) on it, i can either use wine, or vmware. I have a tv tuner card, can i configure either to see this card? I have a 2nd card that i can use for the 2nd display.
3) Can i configure sound settings for each display?

Thanks

Keith

Well, no offense, but if you aren't looking to switch media center applications, then moving the machine over to Linux would really just be a waste of time. You are only going to hurt your system performance, and gain essentially nothing.

If you want to stick with this Media Portal, then you are much better off trying to figure out how to get Windows to do what you want it to.
