Unhappy Matlab licens to work with Slackware 9.0

Hi,

We are trying to start up MatlabR13 on a Slackware 9.0 machine.

It say Licens manager error -8

It is not happen with the license file on SuSe or RedHat.

May it be the host name darkstar that should be changed to something else ?

Please advise

Regards
tungsten

Are you mounting the cdrom with Rock Ridge extensions? You could also just copy the whole cd to /tmp and try to install it from there.

I have installed the software from a CD in /usr/matlabR13

I have also compiled the license manager file ( flexlm )

But it look like it will not work at Slackware 9.0

regards
