Mandriva 2007.0: Incompatible architecture for rpm

Hi all

I am not able to run rpm facilities. My distro, Mandriva 2007.0, gives me the error:
¨Incompatible architecture for rpm¨

For example, I tried just now to get imake, but I failed. What might be the issue?

Not enough information in your post. A step by step description of what you did and how you did it would help.

What is the exact name of the rpm you tried to install? From the error message, it could be that you downloaded an rpm for a different machine architecture to the one you are running.
