Mail to root forwarded to normal user email client?

I'd like to have mail to root on my desktop machine (RH8) forwarded to my normal account and be able to pick up via my regular email client (currently Mozilla).

The first step was easy enough, a ~/.forward file in root's home directory.

Now that I'm getting root's mail, how do I pick up, barring the mail CLI?

mozilla / netscape does not support mh mailboxes in it's mail client. i would suggest an alternative such as syloheed, which does it really well. not as well as pine of course... but if you're too scared to use a terminal app
