Thunderbird . As with distributions, try a few and see which you like. If you like KMail, why change?

Best for whom???
Do you need a contact manager with Palm support?
Do you want integration with other things--or just a simple "e-mail only" client.

I like Thunderbird--YMMV

Depends on what you like... I'm using an old version of Thunderbird, and haven't had a single problem with it (well, it doesn't like sending from my second mail account, but that's not a big deal for me... I should really switch to the latest version though....)

Thanks for the responses.

KMail is OK, having issues with it removing email from my postfix folders.

I use Postfix, squirrelmail-1.4.5 and when I open the client(KMail) all the emails from each account that squirrelmail manages gets deleted and somehow moves into the default folders. Not sure this makes sense. Have tried finding the settings with no luck. I am sure it is something on my side.

If I go to account A on squirrelmail and see two emails and then open the KMail and view account A then I am no longer able to see any email for account A on(through) squirrelmail.

I know the client has a setting for keeping files on the server, however this is the server. I think I have my settings wrong is all. Could be smtp, imap, pop3 etc...

What is the deal with this? I use multiple email accounts, and this is a big selling point with me. What email client will allow you to send from multiple email accounts like this? Is there any for linux?

You mean you want to use separate smtp servers?

I send from different accounts but use same smtp server for all. Do you have many ISPs? Or am I missing the point a bit?

I have a Gmail account and another. Sometimes I will want to send an email from my Gmail account, other times from my other work account. This means different SMTP servers. I don't really understand what you mean by sending one from the same SMTP server but different accounts.
