lpadmin (text only printer)

Hello!!

I need to add the filter 'text only printer' to a printer I've created. I created the printer already with the BEH script implemented. Perhaps I need to use the 'unix2dos' filter?? It does print, but comes out as a 'stair-stepping' effect, which means its using Unix printing without the enter after each line.

# lpadmin -p TESTPRINTER -E -v beh:/1/3/5/socket://10.9.9.9:9100 (command used to create the printer currently).

Any help would be much appreciate.

Thanks!

In theory unix2dos should fix the problem because the printer receives a newline and carriage return. In practice I've never had any problems printing plain text through CUPS. Could you explain how your printing environment's set up?
