linux similar software


hello everybody
I am looking for windows similar software in linux. for example what is the best similar softwares of:
3Ds MAX 2010?
AutoCad 2010 ?
Catia ?
AutoDesk Mechanical Desktop ?
in linux?
and some useful software that work with modbus protocol I mean those software for modbus that send and receive modbus requests in detail packet for monitoring and testing the communication.
It is better to be free software please.

I know for sure that Maya is available under linux, it's great software but of course it's commercial. Wings 3D are available under linux, but it's young project
progeCAD from progesoft it's free for private use and you can try it under wine
that is all I can say, I don't know a lot of free modeling software

For Free alternatives to AutoCAD, there's QCAD and LinuxCAD.
CATIA running on *nix is doing an emulation.

thanks a lot for all of them but can anybody tell me similar free software for LABVIEW under linux (Debain bases and Redhat bases) because LABVIEW have redhat base (RPM package) software and it is commercial and I am looking for some similarity for them.
