Yes you can, by using an ssh server in the linux box and running putty (ssh win client) in the win box. And with read-write permissions correctly set.

You can try ssh to do this. PuTTY is a great ssh client for Windows. You'll have to make sure the sshd daemon is running on your Red Hat box.

Download PuTTY from here and then run and try to connect to your Linux machine.

I'm assuming Oracle can install from the command line, because thats all you get with ssh

Network Neibourhoud !!

Hello,

Note that from my Windows Clients (Win 98 SE and Win XP Pro), under the NEtwork NeighbourHoud, I can see my connections to my server and browse the folders.

Can I simply open a DOS window or some Windows Utility to run commands to browse my folder and search for files and run cpu check and memory check commands ?

Regards,

PT

Through network neighbour you can transfer files, but you can't run commands. To run commands, you have to putty.

Download and install putty, you won't regret. Its a very small app, very dos-like. Very easy.
