Unhappy linux-2.6.8.1 + bootsplash = mc problem

Everything works fine with kernel 2.6.7 and bootsplash, but with 2.6.8.1 and latest patch from bootsplash.de my midnight commander is not working correctly. It often makes black squares on the screen and then i have to restart mc to be able to do anything. This happenes only on the bootsplash-enabled-tty. On other tty mc works good. I think there is something wrong with the 2.6.8.1 patch. Somebody came over a fix?

I've noticed the same thing. I don't know the answer yet, but I figured I'd subscribe to this thread so two can work on it, or two can be helped, either way.
