libglade-2.0.so.0 breaks Synaptic
Hi;
my synaptic has stopped working. I did an weekly upgrade for debian Sarge
on my box and now when I try to run synaptic I get a relocation error.
root@Imladris:/usr/lib# synaptic
synaptic: relocation error: /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_toggle_tool_button_get_type
checking the lib file:
root@Imladris:/usr/lib# objdump -T libglade-2.0.so.0 |grep gtk_toggle_tool_button_get_type
00000000 DF *UND* 00000054 gtk_toggle_tool_button_get_type
listing the file
root@Imladris:/usr/lib# l /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Jun 28 21:52 /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0 -> libglade-2.0.so.0.0.4
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 89304 May 25 18:21 /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0.0.4
and yes, ldconfig knows about this directory
what is a "relocation error" and why is "gtk_toggle_tool_button_get_type"
undefined ?
