libglade is failing

libglade is failing, which is preventing menudrake from running.I carelessly installed an RPM that was libglade-related.This is the message that is being spewed out:

menudrake: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_about_dialog_get_type

Thank you to those who can help.

I have the same error

Hello . Can you explain how you have solved your problem, because I get the same error when I try to run gdmsetup:

gdmsetup: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_about_dialog_get_type

and synaptic:

synaptic: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libglade-2.0.so.0: undefined symbol: gtk_about_dialog_get_type

I am using Ubuntu Breezy Badger 5.10.

I don't know what to do, I tried reinstalling libglade.2-0, synaptic and gdm but I still get the same error.

I don't know if this help, but knew I do " $ ls -l /usr/lib/libglade* " it returns:

That was a while ago, but it went something like this:

I went to Windows (yeah, yeah) and got a tool to get the files from RPMs.

I got the library file.

Then I went back to Linux and copied that to my /usr/lib directory.

Good luck.
