lag in 2.6.3


im experiencing a really sucky lag in kernel 2.6.3 on slack 9.1. anyone else have this problem?

If it's when trying to write to your HDD, then do these things.

1) Make sure it's not setup for ide=nodma in the kernel options section of the bootloader.
[If that des not work or wasn't that way in the first place]
2) Upgrade to 2.6.4. It doesn't give me problems like the ones you speak of wheras some kernels have.
