[SOLVED] Kubuntu Cannot install adobe flash

Hello, brand new to Linux, just got the desktop running and am trying to update the adobe flash player. When I go to adobe webside it does not install the player.
Any help appreciated.

The Adobe website will not install the flash player for you. It will offer you files to download for you to install.

Here's what I normally do; these instructions work with any distro, regardless of package format:

Download the *.tar.gz file.

Decompress it.

Enter the directory created when the file was decompressed.

As root, copy libflashplayer.so to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ (or the appropriate target directory).

Restart the browser.
