KSCD player error


whenever i use kscd to play a cd i get the player to start but no sound, with the erro " no freedb" can anyone help me resolve this issue? i have sound configure and can play dvd w/ sound.i realize this is trival as i can always use another medai player but i rather prefer everything to work the way it is supposed to.

Hi,
To enable kscd as a cd player, you have to physically link
your cd-rom player to your sound card. You have to have
a wire plugged between the two. Otherwise you can use
totem or kaffeine, instead of kscd, which I think are even
better.
