Kernel version Source Version mismatch after recompile
Hullo, I recently recompiled my kernel to include two very minor changes in the source. The kernel version number has remained the same but with custom attached to the end of it.
It was 2.4.20-8
now its 2.4.20-8custom
The problem is when I try and use rpmbuild --rebuild on source rpms it complains I don't have the right source installed. It's looking for 2.4.20-8custom but can only find 2.4.20-8. I have included a symbolic link in /usr/src from linux-2.4.20-8custom to linux 2.4.20-8 but still no joy. How do I go about fixing this, without having to recompile????
