KDevelop Debug does not recognize breakpoints.

I'm using KDevelop version 4.3.1. I used to be able to stop a debug run at the breakpoints. Don't know what I did, but debug no longer stops at breakpoints. I've tried uninstalling KDevelop and reinstalling. No change.

I tried installing Konsole. No change.

I've seen many postings for this same question. I've yet to see an answer.
Please do not suggest looking at Project->BuildConfiguration->debug. There is no BuildConfiguration in the Project dropdown menu.

How do I get debug to stop at breakpoints again?
