KDE - Turn off previews in open dialog

Whenever I go to any "Open file" dialog in a KDE program, there is a section of the dialog where I can preview the file. How can I disable it?

Thanks But that only takes it off for that session. If I close the program and run it again, the panel is back. Is there an option in the control center or somewhere that I can check to make this go away permanently?

There's also a save settings on log-off option. I just use that instead of saving several times during a session when I make changes.
