Question KDE Centos-5 Adjusting screen resolution

I have a Vivitron 1776 monitor (really Sony) and I'm using Centor 5 KDE.

I only see 3 screen resolution sizes:
800x600, 600x480 and 400x300

What I would like is 1024x768, I have this setting on all my windows machines and on this machine when I boot to windows.

Any help in finding out where and how to change this (if indeed it can be changed) will be appreciated.

Thanks

Try running the command system-config-display (in the admin menu, it should be listed and Display) and use that to reconfigure your graphics card and resolution.

In case anyone else has difficulty with this try showing all generic CRT or LCD options.

From top menu-bar its System->Preferences->Screen Resolution -> Click on the generic item and show all choices. It is easy and works well. Once you have done that and you have rebooted the same selection brings up a drop-down list from which you can choose without having to reboot, it works well.
