KControl doesn't see Plastik widget style

I've been using KDE's Plastik windeco and widget style for a while now, on an MDK10 box.
Recently I installed the latest kdeartwork package, and now that broke Plastik.

It disappeared from the KControl style/windeco module, even as root. Root can still use the windeco however (not the style) but unprivileged user cannot.

If I urpmi (apt-get for MDK) the kdemoreartwork-plastik package, it says Everything Already Installed.
So if I try to remove that package, with rpm -e, it says it is NOT installed. What the...?

locate plastik reveals many Plastik files. I'm certain it is still installed.

Code:
/home/.../.kde/share/config/kwinplastikrc
/home/.../.qt/plastikstylerc
/home/.../.qt/.plastikstylerc.lock
/home/.../plastik_toolbar.png
/home/.../plastik_toolbar1jpg
/usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/kstyle_plastik_config.mo
/usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/kwin_plastik_config.mo
/usr/share/apps/kstyle/themes/plastik.themerc
/usr/share/apps/kwin/plastik.desktop
/usr/share/drakfirsttime/pixmaps/theme_kde_plastik.png
/usr/lib/kde3/plugins/styles/plastik.la
/usr/lib/kde3/plugins/styles/plastik.so
/usr/lib/kde3/kstyle_plastik_config.la
/usr/lib/kde3/kstyle_plastik_config.so
/usr/lib/kde3/kwin3_plastik.la
/usr/lib/kde3/kwin3_plastik.so
/usr/lib/kde3/kwin_plastik_config.la
/usr/lib/kde3/kwin_plastik_config.so
I removed the kdeartwork package which seems to have started this mess, but that did not help either.

Nevermind.

With reason and patience, I managed to solve it. I ran a:

rm `locate plastik`

command, (but not with the -f flag - I wanted to make sure I only deleted the right files which seemed to be related to kstyles/kwin.) and then reinstalled the kdeartwork package (in which plastik is to be found).

For some reason, the files were being left behind after I initially uninstalled it.

For anyone that has this problem again, try that (but be careful you only delete kstyle/kwin-related files! Back them up just in case too. For instance, /usr/share/drakfirsttime/pixmaps/theme_kde_plastik.png is the screenshot of Plastik that the Mandrake First Time Wizard displays when it asks you which theme you want to use in KDE (I assume, I haven't actually looked at that image file). This is just a screenshot, and unrelated to KDE's eye candy stuff - so you'd leave that file alone. )
