k3b system configuration problem

cdrecord does not run with root privileges,
cdrdao does not run with root privileges.

This is what k3b says on startup.
I click on the k3b2 configurator, but nothing happens.

If I run as root however, it says 'Error while decoding audio tracks.'

How can I make cdrecord, and cdrdao to run with root privelages?
Why does it error while decoding?

try this for a hack, login as your normal user, open an xterm window and su - root
now with root privilege in this window run k3b . you will see a lot of messages that you don't see when icon clicking and it might just work properly

have fun
