k3b and cddb uploads

I'm ripping a large collection of music CDs using k3b. Some of my CDs don't seem to be in the CDDB database. I've tagged them myself, and now I would like to upload those tags either to CDDB or Freedb, whichever seems more appropriate.

In the k3b settings there's a CDDB section which in turn has a Submit section. However, there are a couple of problems with it:

1. If you choose to submit an entry by email, you can specify an SMTP username but there's no way to store a password.

2. Even if you succeed in setting up the submission, there's no obvious way to actually submit an entry. In the ripping screen there's an entry for storing the entry locally but none for submitting it online, at least none that I can find.

If this isn't a good forum for asking this question, what would be a better one?
