just swiched to suse10.0/firestarter and need some help
ok.. I hope this is a relatively simple question to answer. Simply put, I had redhat 9 on my computer for quite a while... then accidentally hosed the redhat instalation. I no longer had the disks, and for some reason fedora core refused too work so i swiched to SUSE 10.0. The problem is with redhat 9, i put a few iptables commands in the /etc/rc.d/rc.local script to share the ppp dialup internet connection with my lan. Now that i have swithed distributions and have a relitavely clean install i decided to switch this firewalling/ip forwarding to a more appropriate method... firestarter. The only problem is i need the ppp connection and firewall to dial itself and start at startup, and make sure the firewall restarts itself when the ppp connection dies. I would appreciate any suggestions, as continuity of internet to my lan is crucial.
