Java install issue - no matching plugin was found.
Hi All
I'm trying to install the new JRE on my PC - primarily because groupwise seems to need it.
anyway, when i try to run "fakeroot make-jpkg jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin" i get
=====
Creating temporary directory: /tmp/make-jpkg.XXXXIqzo12

Removing temporary directory: done

i've tried running "DEB_BUILD_GNU_TYPE=i386-linux fakeroot make-jpkg jre-6u1-linux-i586.bin" and got the same response.
I'm not 100% sure why the darn thing isn't working, but i've spent a few hours on google and found some other methods, none of which have worked. There were a few that recommended a patch (dated around 2003) but i can't find the patch.
any help would be appreciated
