Java Applet and Mozilla crash

System Specs:
- AMD 2400 with 1GB RAM
- Sun Java Desktop. (Suse 8.1)
- Mozilla 1.7a, Mozilla 1.4(came with the system)
- Java Runtime Environment : j2re1.4.2.03

The Problem:
i am trying to access to a Java based stocks streamer (Ameritrade) but every time i try to call the streamer. the applet and the browser crash on me giving this error:
INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: Plugin instance index out of bounds 17445

System error?:: Resource temporarily unavailable

i have tried this on Suse 9.0 with Netscape, Mozilla, Firebird and Firefox and it's all the same.
any help would be highly appreciated. I am trying to get rid of Microsoft. and this the only thing i can't do.
thanks

Rad

Java plugin in Netscape 7.1 does not work

I have the same problem. I did the symbolic link as the installation instructions dictate but
I get the same error as the original post. When I say I have the same problem I am talking about
the same applet (Ameritrade Streamer). Other applets work.
The troublesome applet works perfectly on Netscape 7.2 running on Windows and obviously IE.

Install Java JRE 1.5 and create a symbolic link in netscape plugins folder.

cd /usr/local/netscape/plugins
ln -s /usr/java/jre1.5.0/plugin/i386/ns7/libjavaplugin_oji.so .
