Java Applet in Konqueror and Mozilla

There are a few Java applets I can't use, I know I've read something about this in a previous thread bu I couldn't find it.

Mi problem is that there are some java applets that wont run. I don't remember the pages right now, but one of them is www.chess21.com It says something about application/x-java-vm and I don't know what else. I've searched about It but I got nothing, I think I've read a few interesting things, but I could't do anything.

I apologize if this is a dumb or question... but I didn't know where else to go.

Thanks in advance for your help,.

Do you have netscape installed? Try the page in netscape to see if it works. If so then we can eliminate the version of Java you are using? If it works in Netscape you might be able to get to work in Mozilla by making some symbolic links.

My suggestion was to see if the pages you are having trouble viewing would load if you used the Netscape browser.

What version of Java do you have on your machine? Try typing java -version
