Question is there a good debian document editor?

hello all...

a collegue of mine has debian installed on her pc, yet is unsure where or if there is a good word-processor application. i am a RH junkie myself, and RH9 comes with a nice app called "oowriter," but i'm not sure what debian has to offer. any suggestions??

THANKS

OpenOffice, AbiWord, and so on have Linux versions available. They run on Red Hat, they run on Gentoo, and they run on Debian.
