Is kudzu really gone in RHEL 6?

I've certainly read (and experienced) that kudzu, and subsequently /etc/sysconfig/hwconf is gone from RHEL 6 but I'm a little confused that it still shows up in The Official Red Hat Linux Reference Guide, Appendix A. Red Hat Linux 6.1 Package List. Is it really gone or is this Red Hat's way of preparing us for the inevitadable?

...well, I think it's on the way out...according to WikiPedia's anyway...

Personally, I thought is was gone already...maybe a reference for history's sake? I saw that last in RedHat9, but, that was a while ago.
