I have a problem and I am going to attempt to RTFM, but I'm not even certain which manual I ought read.

I have installed Red Hat 9, however it hangs on Kudzu. Specifically, at /etc/fstab. I can get going by skipping Kudzu, via 'I'nteractive Setup. Then it gives me an error relative to my DHCP blah blah blah.

I *think* these two might be related because I have an ECS mobo w/ onboard NIC.

However, mostly I want to get rid of the hang at /fstab. Once I'm past there, I can hopefully solve my network problem without help.

Many thanks!

First, run RH configuration programs (search for one you can stop/start services from) and stop kudzu (you don't need it to start at boot . Reboot and see if it looks OK now.
I don't think your problem is caused by /etc/fstab. It's rather something with DHCP.Run 'netconf' and see if all settings are correct.
